Married To The Military

I personally don't use the term "Military Wife". Yes, My husband is in the military but in our marriage, it is essential to distinguish the two relationships; My husband has a duty to his country and I have a duty to my husband. As his wife, I do what I need to do for him, to make sure that he is capable of doing what he needs to do for his country.

We have a pretty great partnership in which work is work, and marriage is marriage. Communication and Prayer is our daily priority, and everything just falls in line after that

ITS NOT ALL PEACHY

Being married to someone in the military is not for the weak.
With TDY's, PCSing, Exercises, out of the blue shift changes and a ton of other mandatory things that my come up in a moments notice, the last thing your husband needs to hear is a whiny voice telling him how much his job sucks... HE KNOWS THIS.

As a wife, I have to first be okay with being alone whether it is for a weekend, a week, a month, or even a year.
It's what I signed up for. He was married to the military before I even met him.

Second, I have to make sure I am maintaining my own life, nurturing my dreams... my passions...

I want to share my traveling passions with you... I hope you enjoy the Journey.
